Sometimes that's correct, and sometimes not. There are examples where the statist approach is wrong. The EPA used to be a string of locally run agencies, but in some places there would be over-regulation and sometimes not enough when it was greatly needed. Similarly, Mississippi isn't going to drop money on international highways and bridges when they need money for local roads and schools if that's what their taxpayers appear to care more about. This is why we send representatives to DC.

Well at least keep the federal government out of the cookie jar and have more taxes collected locally...federal government is more likely to start wars than care about broken bridges and highways in your local areas.

I would love if that little daydream actually worked, but apparently the people don't value the two trillion dollars of infrastructure that they need to exist in this lovely free country, considering that it's falling apart. The idea was that people used their savings to do all the things that needed to be done to keep the country together.

Also, the government is composed of people. Very normal people. We choose who those people are.

Okay you guys call Obama indecisive? Where is your hero Sarah Palin during all of this? Oh I know getting a "foreign policy 101" briefing taught by dusty old leaders this week. Like Henry Kissinger HAHA are you serious?!?!? Yeah she's ready to be vice-president, now that she has met with former leaders once and finally got a passport at 44 years old. Can you imagine her actually addressing the nation on her own without speech writers... oh wait "You can actually see Russia from Alaska" HAHAHA!
