A Mac IS A FUCKING MAC and a PC IS A FUCKING PC.

A Mac CAN RUN PC SOFTWARE and a PC CAN RUN MAC SOFTWARE.

A Mac is built by the same company who made the software, PCs are made by a variety of companies.

Depends on what you wanna do with it. If you're a pro editor who needs complete control over what you do, FCP7 is the way to go. X has come a long way since it initially launched, but it's definitely aimed more at the pro-sumer market. I can't imagine an editor for TV or Hollywood using X, but a highly-produced web series? Now that's a different story.
