@ThinkEditing if you dont use Final Cut Pro X, can u please do a easy tutorial on how to use Final Cut Pro 7 with Action Essentials 2. Also will final cut pro 7 work with and hp laptop?

Im an editor that uses final cut. I make tutorials so if your ever wondering how to do a certain effect just let me know! I would really appreciate if you guys could check out my channel. Can someone PLEASE help me?!
I'm a noob at this but basically when I try to play my edited footage, it just plays my original footage from the Event Library on the Canvas, instead of my edited footage from the Timeline. This means I can't see how my footage looks! Also to make matters worse my Playhead has gone to shit! When I select or scroll over footage in my Timeline it doesn't show up on the Canvas...meaning I can't see what I'm doing and I can't edit!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME??!!
