"Wot's... Uh the Deal?" is a song from Pink Floyd's 1972 album, Obscured by Clouds. It features multi-tracked vocals by David Gilmour, and lyrics by Roger Waters. It was never performed live by the band. However, David Gilmour, along with Richard Wright, performed it at several shows on his 2006 tour and the subsequent live DVD, "Remember That Night", where the title was changed to "Wot's The Deal".

Lyrics:
Heaven sent the promised land
Looks alright from where I stand
Cause I'm the man on the outside looking in

Waiting on the first step
Show where the key is kept
Point me down the right line because it's time

To let me in from the cold
Turn my lead into gold
Cause there's chill wind blowing in my soul
And I think I'm growing old

Flash the readies
Wot's...uh the deal?
Got to make to the next meal
Try to keep up with the turning of the wheel.

Mile after mile
Stone after stone
Turn to speak but you're alone
Million mile from home you're on your own

So let me in from the cold
Turn my lead into gold
Cause there's chill wind blowing in my soul
And I think I'm growing old

Fire bright by candlelight
And her by my side
And if she prefers we will never stir again

Someone said the promised land
And I grabbed it with both hands
Now I'm the man on the inside looking out

Hear me shout "Come on in,
What's the news and where you been?"
Cause there's no wind left in my soul
And I've grown old

  • why barrett is behind the wall ? he left pink in 68

  • Master Song from a Master BAND.....

  • As I was driving in between my two homes the other night, this song brought me to tears... And let me tell you, I'm not the crying type. As I listened to the beauty and feeling in this song, it reminded me of my life before, my life ahead, and the precious time in between the two. Granted, I had just smoked a hefty load of some Ohio kill and was sipping on some fine wine... This song is amazing!

  • @TuckerFarrow Not arguing I know the cops are bent

  • @legandrydirk Lol i know that just cause they don't have a joint in their hand doesn't mean they aren't ripped. I said i bet most of them would NOT be. Im not basing this on what i would see. But really, why are we arguing over this?? I'm done with it haha. Just gunna listen to this song :D

  • @TuckerFarrow Ever been in a long car journey with toddeler boys? This is the method that they use,and then sell the kids piss around the stations. With other known cop drug users.Where do you think half the gear goes that is found in a raid? Its going to those corrupt bastards.Make no mistake about it,this is how the world works. And how do you know, that the crowds not had hash in ayogart at the gig?Just cos you dont see them with a joint in there hand.Does not mean that there not ripped 2 the tits

  • @legandrydirk Just cause the people you know get stoned like Pink Floyd, doesn't mean anything. I'd be willing to bet that there would be more fans at a Pink Floyd concert who aren't stoned rather then are. I never said there was anything wrong with being a fan and a stoner, I dont give a fuck what people do at all. I know cops are like any other people. But they don't get kids to piss in bottles, thats fucking stupid. Yeah the odd one does but really. i know many cops and when
