  • Tough for Glynebourne...they just wanted her on the cheap!

Her taking that role as "Lucrezia Borgia," was the smartest

move she ever made! Brava, senora, brava, y gracias por

    todo. Te amo.

  • @mtrav95 ABSOLUTELY. Paris Hilton is going to get old. No one will remember her. Monserrat Caballe, Marilyn Horne, will live forever in their performances, loved and remembered for the beauty they created, and the beautful people they are.

  • She worked hard and learned the role in a short time.... She worked really HARD... ring a bell? All great artists work hard, tha'ts why they are so GREAT and are who and where they are. Callas, Ponselle, Caruso, Pinza, Lehman, Simionato, Bastianini, etc, all of them worked very hard to be who they were, they didn't sleep on their laurels and simply enjoy their ''fame''. That's something ''artists'' today need to understand.

  • We are even more obsessed with issues of size. My daughter is just starting out, she is 20. She wins every competition she has entered but she is told she will never have a career as she is over weight. Her big struggle now is to lose the weight and try to do it while remaining strong and healthy. If you are interested you can look on my username and see my daughter singing. Her latest clip is Ah non credea from La Sonnambula... remember she is only 20. Please be gentle. :)

  • It's shameful that we're so obsessed with issues of size. I would have given anything to hear her sing the Marschallin, no matter what her size. That she clearly worried about it so much is very sad and is an indictment of all of us.

If you can sing and act the role size doesn't matter. Period.

  • She is so lovey! I love when she talks about her image and the character Marchalin... It's so honest and humble. Love her

  • Charming lady with fantastic voice!

  • "You not know the part Madame?" "No."

    LOL!!

  • I am sure she was awesome but I don't associate her with Marchalin at all. Vocally not physically.

  • Totally agree with you! I have never listen to a more beautiful and sensitive voice...She really got the music on its highest feelings!
