Great. Millions of lines of code to answer a non-existent problem. This is why we are still stuck with Windows. Every freakin' open source developer wants to write their own editor, their own file system, their own browser... That's why millions of cats will never take over the world - because they're all running as fast as they can in different directions. There is little cohesive open source development - just a bunch of comp sci majors who want their name on a project.

Sooo heavy breathing. Combined with the frequent sighing it is verry distracting. Hope he improves on that for future presentations.

Im not good enough in world of IT and Technology. THis video presentation is very nice and I think if this operating system is upgraded after several years I think it surpass the windows xp and ubuntu. But i have a question is this os can support microsoft office 2007 & 2010, chrome, pro show, cyberlink, vb.net, vb 6.0, atube, anv, sketchup, adobe, etc.??? If HAIKU can manipulate or execute those programs It is close to surpass xp and ubuntu..

I liked the presentation and learned much about the difference between Haiku, and Be, and those things which works the same. There is quite a bit of work to be done on the OS yet since it crashes like Win98. I had BeOS 5 on one computer and it would crash also on some programs.

I was seriously thinking to try the latest release of Haiku a few days ago, but the system requirement was a bit too high as my intent was to give the second life to my old PC. I'm wondering if I can choose what to install or not to intall during the installation process. I need stripped version to run on 300MHz+128MB machin.
