Jailbreak iPhone/iPod OS 3.1.3 (w/Links)

This video is a very basic tutorial of how to jailbreak the iPhone 1G, IPT 1G, 2G (older bootrom).

However, Geohot has an untethered jailbreak for iPhone3GS and iPod Touch 2 (new bootrom), and IPT3. So look forward to that, IT IS NOT OUT YET, DO NOT BUG HIM ABOUT IT ;P.

@MJAssassin No problem :P but yeah, Geohot will release an untethered jailbreak for the new bootrom eventually, and a few others are working on it. But using RedSn0w on the 3G or 3GS will update your baseband ;o.

@iamjustinsameman For the iPhone 2G yes, you can use boot neuter, but for the 3G and 3GS, no sorry there is no unlock for the upgraded baseband :(.

@iamjustinsameman However if you still have the older firmware you can get a custom firmware from PwnageTool that will not update your baseband.

im not sure if this is related to this topic...i have iphone 3G FW 3.1.2, 05.11.07 and my wifi doesn't work (same for cydia - i followed your iphonebrowser vid coz it crashes). wifi always mention unable to join network. tried reseting it, same problem. im planning to restore its settings but im not sure about 3.1.3 coz it doesn't have any unlocking as of this time (am i updated?). what should i do for me to use my wifi and cydia again? retain 3.1.2 or update to 3.1.3? help aaronunleashed. thanx

wait you said on the comment below that u can't unlock iphone 3gs 3.1.3 but can you jailbreak it even though its a newer bootrom?
