  • how would you apply this technique to a plastic fairing? I need to go paint my tank and plastic parts from red to a silverish metallic

  • Same deal.

  • Hey man thanks a lot for this video, it inspired me to paint my car this way and it turned out great! It saved me a lot of money instead of having it professionally done.

  • That's great. I actually sprayed a Honda Civic with alkyd enamel paint mixed the same way. After wetsanding and buffing it came out looking pretty nice.

  • if not using gloves, since you have oil in your pores, it also helps to mis 50/50 rubbing alcohol and water.. it keeps the oil out of the paint, and it doesn't eat up your hands, it lets it glide pretty good, as long as you don't let the mud clog up your paper. aslso it depends on quality of sandpaper that turns out a better job with better mile 3m paper.. and taking your time, don't push woth your fingers, and to keep it smooth, try to get something like a scotchbrite inbetween the paper...

  • this is great how to. I have black car that needs touched up from clear coat peeling. I just might use this video, thanks for posting and sharing, man.

  • Yep. Gloss Black. Thanks.

  • Don't spray on water...just dip the sandpaper in the water in the bucket. Remember to add a small squirt of dishwashing liquid to the water - it'll help the sandpaper glide over the surface.

  • Nice one! Did you just use gloss black??? Looks awesome!

  • Don't worry too much about flies, bugs, or dust. Pluck off any big ones with a tweezer if the paint hasn't dried otherwise just leave them. When you wetsand they'll come right out.
