I saw her perform at the Squat Theater in NYC, circa 1980. She was alone, just she and her harmonium.  I'd waited years to see her and it was worth the wait. There was and never will be anyone like her. This video is gteat!

Wow! Trawling through all the shit TV music channels earlier today I came across this. It was not the usual crap that MTV et al usually disgorges. I watched and watched and fell in love with it. I was familiar with Nico only through the Velvet Underground. But today I have discovered a GREAT song.

i was at this concert, there was about 20 people there, laughing loudly at her and walking out during the performance, its amazing that this gig has somehow survived and that people enjoy it now, i saw her play in manchester about 7 times, never to a full audience, no one cared, but she was always great

I saw her perform in the planetarium in Berlin on the 6th of June 1988. It was a lifetime experience! Later I learned that she felt sick after this concert and died a month later in Spain. So I assisted to her last concert. I was so baffled by her performance thatI was about to go to speak to her after the gig ended, but I din't. What a shame - maybe we would have got friends and she wouldn't have died.
