Fourth and final (for now) midi sequence from FMGH, this time my favourite track on the soundtrack, composed by Masashi Hamauzu / 浜渦正志, a musician I hold in very high esteem. This is also the first time I've transcribed any music of Hamauzu's (for shame!) I'll have to do some SaGa Frontier II tracks at some point down the line, or maybe another FMGH tune of his.

  • ガンハザードで一番好きな曲です!!! ありがとう!

  • どういたしまして

  • I know the part 1 and part 2 are composed by different composers, but personally I prefer merging 2 parts into 1 song so making it "perfect".

  • yea, i probably would have done that had i sequenced the first part.

  • Piano was a prominent instrument even in his early career.

I'm really itching for the FFXIII OST. He should be bringing something interesting to the table!

  • yeah, me too. my only concern it might turn out like dirge of cerberus, which while good just wasn't as great as most other stuff he's put out, IMO. any new music from the man is a good thing though.

  • Spontaneous combustion is underrated. Bring it into style, my friend.

  • cheers d00d. i decided i will do one more track from this game. then i will spontaneously combust. how does that sound?

  • if you've heard FFX's soundtrack, you've heard original hamauzu stuff. about 20 tracks on the OST are his, half a dozen of which are arranged on the piano collections CD.

as for other stuff, i recommend saga frontier II musics, they are very pretty :3 though i think everything he puts out is worth a listen.

    thx!

  • I've never heard any of Masashi Hamauzu's original works before... only the FFX Piano Collection arrangements, which are so inventive and well-crafted. Great job here - I'll have to check out more of his works...

  • I'm looking forward to pulling that loop stunt. I usually try to gradually build up to one, you know, but here he just cuts out the beat and then starts it back up full force with great success! Well done, Dave.
