Tenore mediocre: timbro da ragazzino che si sforza da fare la voce grossa, volume scarso, acuti stentati, cattiva recitazione (il duca dovrebbe essere cinico e sarcastico, lui fa mille moine). Perchè non prendere Beczala, Fabiano, Bezduz oppure, se proprio volevano un italiano, Francesco Meli? Questo qui lo stanno pompando come si fa con quelli che hanno "santi in paradiso"

and about domingo I don't understand this appetite for every role that he likes to play. what's his aim? sometimes it seems like a covered INFERIORITY COMPLEX that manifests itself in form of hyperactivity..

@Lovelytenor1 I agree! Poor Vittorio seemed as if he were going to loose his breath the entire aria! I admire his voice but that performance was, in my humble opinion, very strained and forced--if only Maestro Metha has slowed the tempo abit to give Viittorio the opportunity to sing more under control.

However, THIS is the voice I've been longing to hear from Domingo! Prior to this I had only "glimpses" of the magnificent baritone when he would sing harmony with the Three tenors! LOVELY!!
