Irish captain Brian O'Driscoll set the all-time Five/Six Nations try scoring record in the Aviva Stadium on Saturday(19-03-11) when he scored against England making it his 25th since he made his tournament debut in 2000.
He broke the 78-year-old record set by Scotland's Ian Smith, who scored his for the 'Immortals' as that Scottish team was known between 1924-33 which included the 1925 Grand Slam when it was the Five Nations.

  • Brian O'Driscoll predates the Euro, George Bush's presidency, 9/11, war in Iraq, the iPod, Myspace, Bebo, Facebook, Twitter, the Strokes, the White Stripes, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, The Lord of the Rings & the Harry Potter films, Pop Idol, the X Factor, the end of Friends, CSI, capitalism collapsed and China became the worlds second biggest economy but O'Driscoll is still going strong!

  • What a great rugby brain. He always seems to know exactly where to be to support the player on a break, and when you think he's gonna get held up he always knows how to get it down. Being an Englishman of course I wish he were English, but I'm proud that he's a Lion.

  • Best centre ever??? No...best player ever

  • so glad to be around to . w atch a Rugby genius

  • Ireland should technically have one of the best chances of winning the world cup (and I'm english) because they have an extremely powerful and experienced pack (both in the scrum and the loose) and a fantastic ball carrying backrow, a fantastic halfback in sexton, no centre weakness like england, two good wingers, a decent fullback and in O'driscoll a great leader and magic maker like williams is for wales and ben youngs is for england (but even better).

  • He's a machine!

  • Some great tries brian, well done! But trust RTÉ to fuck up the video by putting the tries in the reverse order!

  • ireland have nothing to fear except fear itself. well, that and how they're going to score any tries once bod retires.

  • LEEGGGAAAANNNNNDDDDDD
