  • @rickbar123 I don't believe that. They work with what they have-- and it ain't much trying to work with the hospitals when they have nothing to give but take. But what do I know. Hence me no longer working in a hospital and keeping my sanity :)

  • @dana102083 I work in a long term care home. My facts are straight, although I'll admit that things are probably different for different companies. At the home I work for, the RN's manage the PSW's, and push pills. They have a separate shift for computer work also.

Also, these nurses know nothing about HC in the US. New nurses are indoctrinated in school to believe that everything should be universal and that it's superior, ESPECIALLY in regards to the Americans' system.

  • @jellofuel RNs don't 'push pills' in long term care, but mostly have managment roles. Get your facts straight.

  • @SparwoodApple You should be, hospital nurses make 50 bucks an hour. Even in long term care homes, they make nearly 40 an hour, just to push pills. This is a video that screams self interest, greed and idiocy. NONE of these nurses know ANYTHING about health care in America.

  • @SparwoodApple Most Nursing Unions are a joke, they are in the pocket of the Hospital Owners.

  • I am a very strong proponent of public health care, but I am suspicous of the Nurses Union support for it.

  • Thanks for getting back

Glad you, too, read the Bible

1)There were no other VA doctors available in our town. None-one on vacation

2)I had been getting VA care for several years.

I picked a bad time to have a heart attack. Are you an expert on healthcare costs. What are your estimated costs of three stints in two procedures by a good doctor? Throw in a few critical tests.

    3) The number of patients needing VA care is growing. , I am telling you that VA care for me was not available.

  • Help me understand:

    1) No other VA docs you could see?

    2) What did VA say that made you look "out of network"? That costs more when you're privately insured, too.

    3) Are you complaining there isn't a VA hospital in every town? That would hardly be economical, would it? Do you think we should spend taxes to build VA facilities everywhere to make it more convenient for you, but nothing on healthcare for people with none?

If you're a christian, you might want to re-read Matthew 25.

  • My VA doctor quit. More paper work than doctoring for her and the newly appointed doctor was on vacation when my life was threatened. I went to a private doctor - got three stints and a bill of gigantic size. Now VA takes no reponsibility for it. So-If you have a VA Doctor when you do not need them, be ready to jump thru hoops to get care when you have a medical emergency. I do not have to ask my friend, I am there-Outpatient at one place-60 miles to take a 'test', 300 miles for surgury.

  • VA patients consistently rate their healthcare superior. So, yes -- you should ask someone.
