My home durability test of the HP EliteBook (this is the 12 inch model): standing on its lid, stepping off, and standing on it again, three times.

Find out more about this demonstration here (including the song being played!): http://hpfansite.com/hp-elitebook/living-proof-hp-elitebook-laptops-durable

Trying this at home is not recommended and at your own risk. This video was not endorsed by Hewlett Packard Company and the machine in the video is my personal EliteBook 2530p laptop.

  • @sailentxx Well, I don't mind at all really. My Elitebook's pretty worn; I got it 'lightly used' from a close friend in early 2010 and it's been through a lot lately. In fact it picked up 3 new scratches on the lid this week, I have no idea how but I suspect riding in the same bag with a DSLR that's also built like a tank isn't good for the notebook. Performance is still awesome though, and Im not sure when/what my next upgrade will be since the new Elitebooks have 16:9 displays, yuck

  • @bradjsoo ya i know it would handle it, it's elitebook after all. I was just saying though, you dont want to get it scratched just for demonstration.

  • @sailentxx technically I could do that and I have done it before without a problem. In fact I did repeat this demonstration several more times this year just to show some folks I know. I'll make a video standing on the notebook on a hard surface soon =)

  • why dont you put it on a flat hard surface and then do the test
