Teachers have an important job; educating the youth of this country. I respect that. What we really have to do is respect our children first. Real teachers teach that respect is earned, right? Then pay for performace is the way teachers earn respect, and gain increased pay. Not by unionizing and demanding respect (more money). As citizens, our job is to ensure our children are getting the education we expect. If not, fire the teachers disband the unions!
