@connect121 Hey mate. No problem, all comments welcome. I agree on the 45 degrees on the front foot, but I believe there's some flexibility on the back (not that I'm disagreeing.) Check out footage of Cuban Mario Kindelan (one of the best amateurs ever), a lot of the time his back foot is at 45 degrees AWAY from the target, actually pointing backwards! So, there's room for some variety! Thanks for the comment.

im a southpaw and need to improve my right hook, and tips?
marinejackson 2 months ago
@marinejackson Check out the videos on the 3 types of left hook (short range, mid range and long range). The mechanics are the same for both southpaw and orthodox, just in reverse. Hope they are of use.

@myboxingcoach it was a joke...because u know, most of us r with left hand guard and..well fighting a southpaw is pain in the ass. Hope u didnt find it rude. I wouldnt like to insult my current coach :P

@immortaliserwow No, not rude at all. I've always loved that thing of southpaw v orthodox, it's great fun how us orthodox boxers have that grudging respect for how a real good southpaw works, and show that respect with comedy put downs. One of the joys of boxing! :o) Other thing though, this parry is as important for an orthodox to learn as for a southpaw...for when we meet that 'real good' southpaw!
