I saw Blood's trio in DC about 1983 at the 9:30 Club with Maria - a mind-bending performance, the dissonant screaming harmolodic guitar, rumbling bass, thundering drums - made one want to howl -

Ah I know his bass player very well..or at one time he was his bass player. Heh he said they did a gig in a fairly small restaurant onetime and this bus boy was like the only one who knew them and said he had all his records.

I met Blood 4 times personally! 2 times in 1983 (The Bottom Line and The Village Gate, both in NYC), 1 time in Hamgurg, Germany at the Knitting factory I think it was called in 1985, he was with David Murray, Amin Ali, G.Calvin Weston, what a wild atonal, harmelodic show!!, and once at SOB's in New York 1986. Will somebody pls upload the tune "More Blood" and also "Timeless" from this album and from Free Lancin'?? THANK YOU!!! This guy is totally unique.

Ive been searching for James Blood Ulmer Black Rock for ages and cant find it for anyless than £150! Where can i get this album?! It sounds great!

I think dylanwolf1982 meant a rare CD-version of the album. The original LP-issue can indeed be found very cheap : )
