Active Park Assist technology available on 2010 Ford Escape

The 2010 Ford Escape features Active Park Assist. This technology uses ultrasonic based sensing and Electronic Power Assisted Steering to position the vehicle for parallel parking,then calculates the optimal steering angle and steers the vehicle into the space. It is far superior to camera-reliant systems used by competitors.

i have a few questions about that, can it really get you into a really small space better than you could do yourself And when you take you hands off the steering wheel do you press the gas when putting it into reverse or does it do that?

The driver, following the prompts from the system, would put the car in reverse and use the gas and brake to control the speed of the vehicle. The prompts will then ask the driver to place the car in drive and, again, the driver will control the speed of the vehicle with the gas and brake.

If you can't park in a spot that big you need to go back to driving school. Good for bad drivers but probably expensive so don't worry, If it breaks no one is going to fix it.
