The New Testament is based on the New Testament and so is the Koran.

@USoSilly2Me Yes there is. There's millions of people who actually believe the the things in bible, and proselytize them on people and force them into state and federal legislation with no logical basis.

So it's important to understand the the things in any bible mostly for that respect. The Old Testament in particular does refer and provides a corroborating source for things that did actually happen in history.
