  • Nicely played.

580 has a unique sound in the Conn range, I preferred the sound to that of the 650 and 651, though liked the 3x61+32 of the consoles!

I don't find that sound too tibia heavy personally. Yes, hard to avoid them (no Concert Flute) so I don't as a rule! Each to their own on this.

Bit late to tell you Paul, but it's all solid state.

  • I've liked the 580 Conn sound better than the 640 series for some reason. Nice job.

  • Sounds very nice.

  • Nicely done. However, we had a discussion on the Conn list about using Tibias on the accompaniment. It can be difficult to avoid them, but I see that on Poinciana you have Tibia 8,4 on the Acc., which combines with all the Great Tibia pitches to produce a Tib-heavy sound, especially with the trems maxed out. Try removing the 4' from the Acc. Add Trumpet if you need more left-hand sound. That's my suggestion. -Gary

  • Very well done!!! I enjoyed listening to this! (and I'm also glad to read that I'm not the only one who suffers from "camera fright" lol) I loved Pennies From Heaven especially! :)

  • NICE- relax!! Slowly. Take four deep breaths and start again. Remember- s-l-o-w-e-r. We love you.

  • I practice and practice but don't seem to quite get the theatre styling down correctly.

Very impressed with the vid and the playing

  • well played -nice model of the conn organ range

  • Is this really a vacuum tube organ in 1972? The Organ List put's it in the VI category for tone generation. I'm looking at a 550 and a 553 Trinidad. The 550 is tube tone generators and the Trinidad is transistor. The 550 is $50 and so is the 553 Trinidad. The Trinidad is in a straight cabinet ( similar to the Wurlitzer 4500) instead of the typical theater style cabinet like you see ( ie. Adrian Rose Trinidad), but it does have identical controls.
