@qwertypluss The army is out in full force on the streets trying to protect civilians and contain the violence. An estimated (by the DEA) $ 55 billion dollars of drugs passes every year through México to go to the U.S. Needless to say, the Cartels are well armed and have a lot of protection. Civilians get caught in the street battles everyday. The saddest part is that Mexicans in general, don`t use drugs. In box me if you want to talk about this more. I want people to enjoy México. :)

@breedswithsheep typed it on google woah duuude lol wtf, so I guess that's no drugs or even mentioning them lol
do they try and protect / leave out civilians?

@qwertypluss Type Decapitados or Balacera on You Tube and you`ll find out.

@qwertypluss Hi, it`s safe to travel to the main tourist destinations like Cancùn, Cozumel, etc. Colonial cities like Puebla and Oaxaca in the center of México are safe also. You should avoid, unfortunately, the States bordering with the U.S. because that`s where most of the violence is occurring. Also, as long as you don`t go looking for trouble (drugs) you are safe. My México is a remarkable place to visit and enjoy. Come, exercise good sense and discover what we have to offer :)

If you like exploring i recommend to visit all the cenotes en LA RUTA DE LOS CENOTES in Puerto Morelos is really worth it!

@mcbuhito I I have never been to this very cenote but I have dived many others in that area. Basically all of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico is full of these underground caves. You can contract guides in Cancun, Riviera Maya and Cozumel, but also in Merida city on the northern tip of the Peninsula. Make sure that your guide is a real professional because this caves require a good degree of expertise. Enjoy!
wow, this is amazing,,, can't wait to go there!

The journey there is usually greater than the destination. Immersing your self in the moment and taking in the rich cultural heritage of foreign destinations are just as much a part of SCUBA as the actual dive. Fortune struck these divers when the destination was just as great (if not better) as the journey.
I would LOVE to go dive there someday!
