This is one of the only things with Dave Tompkins on it on the internet. I have been a big fan/appreciator of his writing since the Rap Pages days, as he is one of the best scribesman of the hip-hop era to ever do it. I read years ago that he was working on a book, and it has finally come to fruition and was well worth the wait. Major daps for a masterpiece!

just watched and listened to several scenes from 'WarGames' featuring Joshua aka the WOPR and I can tell you that he is higher pitched then this...so NO that is NOT the sound of Joshua aka the WOPR. HOWEVER your sound is actually much better and COOLER!!! Joshua aka the WOPR sounds like SHIT. Bald dude is closer to the Cylon voice sound. Dave was WAY-OFF...

I LOVE THE VOCODER!!! But only the old classic vintage analog vocoder...not the digital SHIT (VST, VSTi, plug-ins, analog-modeling, etc...) that they make nowadays. I wonder of Mr. Dave Tompkins was the guy bidding against me for the Sennheiser Vocoder Demo CD on eBay? I won. Now it's up here in two-parts for all to listen to (and various other places online such as places 'MatrixSynth' has posted it to. wPUFmSkLTKc followed by Part-Two.
