Just imagine a solar flare that knocks out your power grid. And knocks out your nuclear cooling systems and deadlocks safety backups. Just imagine, the world would die. It can happen, any minute of our lives.

With unit 4 , i hope the whole fucking thing goes over and then the idiots in this world will finally wake up that nuclear power is not the answer with current technology we have to deal with these accidents, in over 40 years all we have learned is the after affects and the stages of dieing that occur to the human body once exposed to these accidents, Japan already has a shortage of land and more good land lost for hundreds of years, not to mention the contaminated water dumped in the pacific

I live near Kalamazoo MI. I was aware of the raised levels of radiation. I have tried to tell people. They look at me like I am crazy. This week we got 72 gallons of radioactive water in Lake MI from the Palisades Nuclear Plant not far from us. The one plant outside of Chicago almost melted down last month. We have problems. Enough is enough.

Radiation kills the rich & poor equally.

Unit #4 is falling. One more quake & Japan is gone.

Naoto Kan is the big hero. Evacuate Japan now.

The US needs a solution. Such as a Solar Feed in Tariff, requiring Utilities to pay US home owners $0.54 kwh to harvest solar & feed it onto the grid, to make the US 1005 solar by 2041.

Japan passed a FiT & now pays homeowners $0.53 kwh.

Japan will be 100% solar by 2041.

There is so much utter shit talked about nuclear power. No one died as a result of the Fukushima accident. Fission remains the best form of power generation we have

Sorry but... it's not going to maybe happen. It will happen. History repeats itself and more catastrophe like Chernobyl and Fukushima will continue to occur. This world is controlled by soulless corporations who continue to lie about the safety of these reactors.

You could argue to the Bureaucrats and diplomatic bull-shitters that introducing technology that they developed just fine and then refusing to let anyone else who's interested in implementing it themselves, "why on earth did you do that."

The UK and the former U.S.S.R. (and anyone else who was interested) had to trial-and-error (mostly error) their way through Nuclear Power simply because other countries refused to share technology secrets with them.
