  • It had only been one year since "O Canada" became that country's national anthem, so what did CKNX use prior to 1980, "God Save thy Queen?"

  • Probably "O Canada" still. It may not have been official until 1980 but it was the only national anthem I knew while growing up, and that was long before 1980.

  • @robatsea2009 did you pick up seattle stations in bc..

  • @lockenjr Yes, at least in the southwestern part of the Province. Not sure if they received them outside of the lower mainland.

  • @geekgirltv2011 CKCO TV in KitWaloo.

  • @go11um62 what's the other one?

  • did CKNX didn't air the 2011 royal wedding?

  • The voice of CKNX was Brian Elmslie. I grew up in the early '60's with only 2 Television Stations to watch, and CKNX was one of them!

  • @robatsea2009 And viewers like yours truly can get no less than five local Seattle TV stations from anywhere in Canada via any of the digital cable or satellite providers...all in crystal-clear hi-def.

  • God I was born there

  • This is simply wonderful! Thanks for posting
