He's not reading and reacting, he's not disengaging from blocks, missing tackles, standing too upright. Having said all that, there's nothing left for him to do at ASu. He needs to go to a team with solid veterans like the Ravens. Learning under Ray Lewis, playing beside another Sun Devil, T-Sizzle, with Ngata and Cody in front, and Lardarius Webb, Jimmy Smith, and Ed Reed behind him, he could mature and become the MLB he certainly has the potential to become.

Ray Lewis knows how to have gap control.Burfict gets caught out of position constantly on tape. He allows them to get gauged because he is out of position. From what ive seen on tape this year he should definitely return because he tape is terrible

As a Bengals fan, glad we got him and that he's performed very well--hope he keeps it up. Also, not being familiar with this particular game and as someone who dislikes USC, it was surprising and amusing to see the score go from 22-28 to ASU up 22-43 in the last two clips.

actually if you know football he filling his hole, asu doesnt run a read react D the run a fill your gap D, and most of the time he takes on his blocker to a stand still, while i agree he should disengage it is actually showing his brute strength to take on a charging 300 pounder from a stand still and not lose ground, i do agree he "guesses alot" but thats is poor coaching, physical development is the players job, mental development is the coach's job

Love this video - totally objective, shows his great plays and his lousy plays. Burfict's failures in football were caused by his terrible attitude, which a great physique simply can't overcome.

He makes every easy play and not one difficult play. Once you get a body on him he gives up the play. He plays without putting any effort in. He wont shed a block. He wont chase a ball carrier. He plays to look good on TV. He comes downfield hard on blitzes but his technique sucks. He plays high and thats prob why hes so easy to block.

However he plays a bit faster than his 40 would indicate.

Overrated. He would have been drafted if he showed he cared. Hes just another asshole football player
