Very close to being my favourite theme tune of all time

I reckon if he had lived, Mike Pratt could have made guest appearances on shows like The Sweeney and Minder. It would have been awesome seeing him share the screen with John Thaw, Dennis Waterman and George Cole.

My favourite TV series ever.
I blame this show for my being a total anarchist conspiracist wanker at 49.

Great video! Let’s play a little game If you were able to have your own cult TV channel what 15 series would you select? Mine would be (in no particular order) The Avengers Star Trek (Kirk of course) The Prisoner The Invaders The Man from Uncle Space 1999 Randall & Hopkirk (original) The Saint Blakes 7 The Persuaders UFO (which deserves a remake with new effects please and more alien action) The Outer Limits Sapphire & Steel Red Dwarf And just to be silly – the A Team Yours ?

35 years ago on this day Mike Pratt lost his battle with lung cancer at only 45.

@antiquax Annette Andre said he was one of the nicest men you could ever meet. He should have gone on to be a big star. Apparently, a lot of the items you see in his flat including the guitar are actually his. The episode "The Ghost Speaks" where Randall is laid up in bed was genuine. Mike had broken his leg while trying to climb into his flat when drunk as he had forgotton his keys. His so plays with Pink Floyd. A great man, sadly missed.
Brilliant series. The remake by the BBC was sh**!!
