Functionalism's Theories: as people age they shed their old roles and take on new ones. Seeing the elderly slow down and approach death inhibits society's ability to function at full capacity. retirement makes older peole less important because they are close to death. new generation moves forward.

Im an actor, and i am researching a character that touches on Sociology. I really liked your video. It helped me out alot to really get a general idea of what sociology is.
