MORE CURRENT VIDEOS POSTED: Okay, guys, here's what his canter looks like. I think it's coming along, but I think Kathryn is right. It was his transitions that killed me under that second judge. Plus, I think he needs to be more collected and cantering beneath himself.

He's coming along, though. I'm very proud of my point-earning baby. One day he'll be a bride instead of a bridesmaid, LOL. I hope:)

  • It would help if you tightened your abs just a little bit to control your top end. Make your biceps more solid. Your riding is really good! but a leeetle sloppy. I really hope you don't take offense to that-everything is good, you just need to tighten muscles in the right places :]

    keep up the good work!

  • Nah...I don't mind the input AT ALL. I have skin as thick as pig leather, LOL.

I'm still laughing about the USEF//QH debate that went on above. My former brother-in-law rode for the USET and so I have to CRACK up when people say Bippy wouldn't make an over fence horse just because in _this_video he's going like a Quarter Horse. What complete and utter ignorance.

  • heey!

don't listen too all of these dumb people!

your horse is coming along great and your doing i grrrreeeaaat job with him!

im soo excited to see you two at state!(:

  • Holy shamoly...I had no idea so many people were kevetching about this video. LOL. Where have I been?? Tee hee.

Just posted a newer video of him. I think I have finally managed to get him to go like a Quarter Horse at a show. That's been a BIG problem of ours. Go check it out!

  • I ran out of letters on the last one, so one more thing. Watch your legs att the canter - I'm not sure if you know you're kicking him every stride or not. If you're doing this intentionally I'd carry a crop at home and wear spurs and teach im to move without constant kicking - it's not pretty for judges and can be distracting. You look like a good rider though with a great seat and a good elbow to bit line...and you have a lovely horse too!

  • For _this_ video, I was working on his canter, trying to get him beneath thimself. At the show, he had a horrible strung out, four beatin'...thing going on. I was SO embarassed. So that's why I've got him really collected and yet saying, go, go, go with my leg.

If you found me through the Pleasure Horse message board forum, thanks for clicking the video link. If not, thanks for chiming in. I really, really appreciate it!

  • @Dspammsters AMEN !

  • man bad as videoing i can hardly watch it it so horrible sorry

  • a horse with a canter like that you cant keep your legs PERFECTLY still my horse moves like this

and this type of canter its just preety much impossible unless you glue yourself to the saddle!

  • omg! me to like i always have teh habit of like collecting there heads now!(:

  • u need to drive him underneath him selff by holding his head and driving his hind end way underneath himself , bc right now he is a horrible loper but he has potential to be great

  • Cute horse, but he needs more impulsion behind. It looks almost like he wants to break into a trot every few strides. Coming along nicely though! He looks fun to ride. :P
