This vulcanic lake is a pleasure to fly at sunset, reliable stable wind make the flight an easy task, but,
you can be scared up by a Canadair digging in the lake for replenish his container of fresh water to fight fires in the near by country side. Below the monastery of Palazzolo in white and a former cardinal summer residence in orange now hosting touristic facilities. This is the center of the Parco dei Castelli Romani natural reserve, with Chestnut tree artificially planted since roman time and some autocton trees
on the lake vulcan border. Also the lake level was defined by a roman tunnel 2000 years back.
