I understand the link to Yakuza with tattoos and that Japanese culture is inherently different to Western culture. But discrimination is universal in any language, surely as a contemporary, democratic nation, employers and waterpark owners shouldn't discriminate foreigners with tattoos, or locals for that matter. I think in 2012, even with strong traditional heritage of Japan, discrimination is no more acceptable there than any other country, very ignorant for such a forward-thinking culure.

@TrailRidingGemini well like most if not all asian countries, their technologies are advance (mostly japan) but the way of thinking and living is still in the feudal age ;D

I am leaving for Japan in March for a years exchange, and I was planning to get a tattoo before I left. SO happy I saw this video!
