I understand the link to Yakuza with tattoos and that Japanese culture is inherently different to Western culture. But discrimination is universal in any language, surely as a contemporary, democratic nation, employers and waterpark owners shouldn't discriminate foreigners with tattoos, or locals for that matter. I think in 2012, even with strong traditional heritage of Japan, discrimination is no more acceptable there than any other country, very ignorant for such a forward-thinking culure.
