  • I have a Finepix S5700 and it has only 2 sockets for connection, one is a 5v supply that takes a female connector and a USB connector. If there isn't a practical solution do you think that juggling around continuous lighting is the way to go.Thanks again.PS there is a comment to this video saying how fast they can shoot their camera, will they please understand that being fast on a button isn't the only problem some people have to cope with, rant over.

  • @mrarachnid1 Can you tell me the type of subjects you shoot? if it's people I don't see a way around your problem I'm afraid, other than a different camera or by taking your camera apart removing the in camera flash and replacing it with a hot shoe, a risky business.

As to the remark you mentioned, I'm used to it, I get insulted quite often as well :) It all rolls off me like water on a ducks back.

  • Being epileptic flash/strobe photography is a problem in confined spaces so having a version of your switch may help. This wouldn't be a problem if I just wanted to use the camera with pop up flash in conjunction with the timer. As my camera doesn't have a hotshoe, I can't run a transmitter with remote flashgun so your switch or something will enable me to fire the gun well away from the flash unit. Any ideas? ps Low on funds and most of my equipment was stolen on a trip to Bulgaria.Thanks.

  • @mrarachnid1 Hi, I know the problem as I suffer from migraines that are sometimes set off by the flash ,leading to two days violent headache. Does your camera have a normal flash sync socket? if so a simple sync lead will do the job allowing you to have the flash at any distance from the camera.

Can you tell me what type of subject you're shooting ,I presume it's still life. Also what type of camera and flash, then I'm sure we can find a solution.

    All the best Phill

  • Pressure pad for what?? I just get fast with the shutter button. I'm pretty dang fast and can catch just about anything with my speed.

  • @4Firearms As I said in the video it's a pressure pad to fire a flash, when we don't have enough light for a fast shutter speed and don't want to loose quality by increasing the iso ,or require a particular lighting then the pressure pad is the only solution.
