PRIME setting is labelled as "PRI"
it is at the 9 o'clock position if you compare it to the hands of an analogue or non digital clock/watch.

How can you tell if you're on the 2nd or 4th stroke??

My 600 fires up every time, second kick , without fail.
I just wind the engine to a compression stroke (not the 2nd stroke the 4rth)and kick like hell way she goes, and ive had her for 14 years with 59,000 miles on the clock.

My srx is a bit iffy to start when cold, I mastered it thou, Just switch the fuel tap to prime for a sec or two and it starts first kick :D
