@PCSoftware that´s DST...

plasma is hot gas like burning butane
-
Ah, that's pretty simple. It's just a flyback transformer and a driver circuit. I'm making one myself for an ignition system of a friend's flamethrower.

Anyád!
:D:D

can you help me make one for my snowmobile? i got my plasma gen from a 52 inch tv. i would really appretiate it. hit me back let me know
-
stun yourself. you probably get a loud or die
-
awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
azt a bús picsa xD
-
rosskij!
-
safety is first!!! :)) you could stun your self. kkk
-
just not as cool
-
Fire is plasma too.
-
and high frequency, I forgot write...

Tesla-s primary circuit is more dangerous than secondary, if it is high voltage pumped tesla coil, because there DC is, but in the secondary there is AC current, which make skin-effect, and it harms only the skin :)
-
The plasma contains ions and electrons. The flame of wood or coal is also plasma, and the flaming arc is plasma, too. In this video there is a high voltage arc, which is plasma, too.
-
True. Also, homemade Tesla is much deadlier, that one would actually kills. Since Radio Shack only carries thick magnet wire, which if you wrap it on Tesla Coil's secondry would just be enough to pump out 2.4 Amps, since the size does matter (Remember, the diameter does justify for the magnet wire's ability to carry limited numbers of current, thus affecting Ampere.)

How do you make a relly really big one that you can bet your mates 100 quid you can stick your hand in it and live
-
possibly, but it would completely destroy the transformer in much less than a second
-
Azt a bús picsa :)
I cant believe so many people watched this (40k) I highly recommend the "Sining Plasma" linked above, the same friend of my made it, and it's even cooler.

According to wikipedia:
"Common forms of plasma include [...] The electric arc in an arc lamp, an arc welder or plasma torch [...]".
So your statement qualifies you for an epic fail.

That's called a Tesla Coil, and actually it's not too hard to build one if you have the experience and right plans.

Actually, it SHOULD be 30KV... But it isnt efficient yet... My friend has shocked himself countless times with it, and he's still alive.
Still dangerous, dont do it at home ;)

Its not dangerous... I mean the power is too low.
