This video demonstrates a novel bimanual technique for drawing on large wall-sized displays. The technique is exploits the skills used in a drawing technique used in automotive styling called Tape Drawing. Traditionally, this was done by laying photographic tape on a wall in order to draw automobiles free-hand, ful scale. Here, we mimic the traditional tape using computer graphics, but still let the artist draw on the wall, thereby preserving their traditional skills.

This work was done at Alias|Wavefront, Toronto, in 1999, by Ravin Balakrishan, George Fitzmaurice, Gord Kurtenbach and Bill Buxton.
