Discussion at this conference focused on improving global health security, and examined topics such as the BWC, global health capacity and U.S. national security, disease surveillance networks, the International Health Regulations, and destruction of the smallpox virus. Speakers included Andrew Weber of the DoD, Ilaria Capua of OIE/FAO, and D.A. Henderson of the Center for Biosecurity, among several panels of distinguished experts.
