"Note to Americans: Montreal is a big city in Quebec province, Canada."

    How insulting.

Why should you be insulted? You're Canadian.

I'm insulted because your comment was rude, uncanadian, and because my mother is a dual citizen, Canadian-American. She is the kindest woman anyone could ever know.

Good for you. I have to mention this because Americans - especially on YouTube - are the most ignorant bunch of the lot and they often can't even find their own city on a map. It's a well-known fact.

I agree with you, but the polite thing to do would be to omit "Americans" and just write "Note: Montréal is a city in Québec Province, Canada". For many people, the "For Americans" is "sous-entendu" ;)

True. But I think that would be even more offensive.

I love the ignorance of people - thinking that any person has the power to "change" another. People don't change unless they are open to the change or in other words, unless they WANT to change.

Ms. Ono has displayed more character in the face of derogation from small-minded people than any of her detractors could ever hope to achieve. And the man behind the music, loved her with all of his heart.

Just enjoy the music and the message.

, I'm an American, I'm on Youtube, and I know perfectly well where Montreal is. I've been to Montreal, and I knew where it was long before I ever went there, since I was a child. Your generalizations do not reflect well upon you.
