I just picked up my first SNES today and bought this game at a local game store because I enjoyed the NES version and boy was I sorely disappointed when the title screen came up. I wish I would've seen this review before I wasted my money on this game. I'm curious what your opinion is of the NES version. I think it's a lot better and the soundtrack is memorable and well done. It's just a much more polished game. It's hard to believe that the SNES version is so bad but it is.

@ciphyl Honestly, I haven't played the NES one so I can't fairly judge it. In fact, I've never seen the cartridge for it anywhere unless you count Ebay auctions.

Actually, you made a mistake. The Gray Matter that made this POS is not the Gray Matter that eventually got merged into Treyarch. Two different companies with the same name.

@TonicBH That's-just-CHEA- I mean, thanks for pointing that out.
Everywhere I looked simply lumped both developers' libraries together, but I thought that seemed a bit off since a couple places cited Gray Matter as not existing until 1994, and to add to the weird coincidence count, Gray Matter and Trey Arch both worked on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (for different platforms).
It's Gray Matter Interactive Studios that was acquired by Trey Arch, not Gray Matter Inc.
