This short stop-motion video features a real Objet 3D printing classic car model. Each part of the car has inter-changeable elements that we fill with a range of different material parts... Objet are the only 3D printers in the world that come with an incredible range of 107 different materials. With this, designers, engineers and manufacturers can truly simulate the precise look, feel and function of virtually any complex, finished product. In addition, Objet Connex 3D printers can create a prototype made with up to 14 different materials at a time, including numerous opaque/transparent clarities, color shades, rigid/flexible properties, ABS-like toughness, high temperature resistance and more...

I am always weary of any advert which boasts to being the most affordable on the market yet does not display the price. Looked at the website and the price of the printer is well hidden. When the customer has "investigate" before finding out the price you can gurantee one thing, it is not going to be affordable to most.

Both, i guess...You can print it no assembly required but can take the thing apart and click it together with other peices that were printed.

That's because it's not a consumer product. For businesses, cost is a secondary concern. They don't want to pay too much obviously, but they rather pay twice the amount for a mediocre product from a big player, then a cheaper high-quality product from an unknown name. Those little guys tend to vanish suddenly, and then you're left with no support.

Costs for these high-end printers will plummet as the cheap low-end printers rise in quality and consumer demand increases. These printers are a socioeconomic game changer.

Solidoodle is well priced, but a little more than you say. $500/550 one of the two is the base model, and another $50 for the heated build platform...which is a must if you print ABS.

The SoliDoodle2 3d printer is only 400 bucks brand new. it comes assembled and all u hav to do is install the software and continually buy more spools of plastic. It's basically a hot glue gun. youTube it!
