Actually, Tyson's contract had expired around the time when the late Punch Out game was release, if I recall, due to Tyson losing his championship.
Technically, there are three versions. That is, counting the version originally released in Japan with the golden cartridge where neither Tyson nor Dream were featured in the game, with Super Macho Man being the last boss.
