@Iain1962 you're right, the reason we went through a major recession is because the country is so much debt more going out thats coming in ect. The government are trying to change the welfare system to try and get it's self out of debt, the country has no choice but doing something.

You believe in corporate boogiemen. This is nonsense.

Think of government as a monopolistic corporation which has the ability to write laws and use force... with government, all your fears of 'corporations' are realized.

Keep in mind that even the weakest government can squash the most powerful corporation with it's pinky.

Big business loves big government... because they can snuggle up to it to get favorable regulations. This is antithetical to a free society.

It does not work in Europe. It is costly and ineffective... and it has contributed to a depressed birthrate. Europe imports most of the advanced medical technology from the US... very little of it is developed domestically.

There is no legitimate reason why the government should run a health care corporation. This is foolish.

Not long after the introduction of the welfare state in the UK... the British Empire collapsed. Why do you think the government should run health care corporations and manage charity programs? It's silly.
