Daniel Higgs, uncommon musician

Yesterday night I went to a concert because I was supposed to sing a duet with my friend Zak, but then during the rehearsals I had the chance to meet Daniel. I never heard him or his music before, but I liked it!
Here is a small interview that I did. I'm happy because he gave me his email address he'll send me his lyrics! =)

I saw Lungfish in Cleveland in a small bar I believe in 1995. I saw a guy at the bar who I thought was homeless. Later he took the stage and blew us all away. It was Daniel Higgs. I've been a fan ever since.

It was a real pleasure to meet Mr. Higgs last night at the ATP festival. He'd had an unfortunate journey; being trapped in Gatwick airport due to the snow and missing his scheduled slot in the line-up. He was a really friendly, pragmatic chap who oozed calm from every pore. He ended up playing a rescheduled 45 minute set which started at 02:15 on the Monday morning! We're really glad we made the effort to stay up for it and it was a beautiful way to end the festival.

Many years ago (1994 or 95, I think), I went to a coffeehouse in Kansas City to hear some local punk and ska bands. Daniel was there with his band Lungfish. None of my friends that I went with that night "got" Higgs and Lungfish, but I was completely blown away! Very interesting musician. Enjoyed the interview.
