Hello Jeff,

I open carry in my state (NC). I also have a conceal permit. I get some strange looks when I venture in to the mall or Walmart. I carry a Glock 23 or a Ruger p90. I am looking for something with some good stopping power to carry in my pocket or an ankle holster. A guy recommended the DB9. I am still shopping around and stumbled across your review. What would you recommend since you seem to have a lot of experience with many pistols.

The DB9 is a good choice, as are the Ruger LC9 and Kahr CM9.

I prefer to carry concealed. Carrying open just draws attention to the fact that you are armed, and you would be the first one popped by an armed thug. Best for no one to know that you are packing until the gun is needed.

The Heritage is a good bike, but I do a lot of long-distance riding, and the Road Glide is my bike of choice. it is bigger, faster, more powerful, and more comfortable than the Softail line.

How precise are you point shooting? If some punk is hiding behind your wife or child, with only his head exposed, are you good enough at point-shooting to be confident and make the shot? What about if you are lying on your back, or your side? How about with your weak hand, in the case your strong hand is taken out of the fight? I ain't that good, and I doubt that you are either. Use every advantage that you can get.

Man, that's rough that it wouldn't even run well with 124 gr 9mm NATO ball -- that IS premium ammo, about as hot and high quality 9mm ball as you're going to find. They've been selling new Winchester Ranger (WCC) 9mm NATO on line for $13-$14 a box lately. If that worked you could actually practice with that little gun with a responsible level of regularity.

Gonna be a tough sell.

Nice review, I am considering one of these after selling off my LC9 because it sprayed rounds all over the place, and continued to do so even after a trip back to the factory. This looks like really great accuracy from a pocket pistol. Anyway, it didn't look like the slide locked open after the 7th round you fired...Is supposed to?

Sorry to disagree. The one I payed for and belongs to me is a pice of crap. Jams, misfeeds and malfunctions. You couldn't hit that target with mine at all.Stay away from this gun.
