The monster of Llangorse Lake

In the crystal clear waters of Wales's largest lake lurks a monster of fearsome repute. Local folklore is awash with tales of people being attacked by the monsters as far back as the dark ages with the most recent widely reported attack being upon an English water-skier late in the summer of 1999. The monster, thought to be a giant pike, is still sighted by anglers, yachters and water-skiers to this day and the largest pike ever caught in Britain was landed there in 1848 weighing 68lbs (remarkable considering there have only been 5 pike caught in Britain larger than 45lbs).

i am 14 years old and i caught a 24lb, over 3feet long golden pike on my local river 'TEITH' in scotland. <the place a cought it was in callander at 21/09/2007:)

it lasted for 7dinners for a 5 people familly

i fished llangorse about 2 weeks ago and caught a 17lb 8 oz pike. it is a cool place. dont think ive ever done so much rowin though. lol

Wow mike i'm really scared now, i'll never windsurf on the lake again, i mean what if i get eaten, or bump into the wailing lady, or is that the whaleing lady? What about the fairys you didnt mention them, or the dragons.

i have been on the lake several times fishing for pike. i been on the lake at 5/6am till bout 10/11pm at night the only thing that i have seen is my father's personal best which broke scales which went up to 38lb that was in the summer of 1999. lorenzo ventre frm neath.
