All companies do this in China because the Chinese have a protectionist government policy. If foreign companies want to sell in China, they are forced to build in China. I didn't hear what percentage of vehicles sold IN the US were built elsewhere. This is a total BS propaganda vid aimed at GM for some stupid reason. MOST GM vehicles sold in the US are built (assembled) in the US.

So now that GM has been saved from bankruptcy, they should make bad financial decisions.

No company wants to pay the shipping and import costs - that's why all the Japanese manufacturers have transplants in the US.

But they probably don't know how to run a company either....

Yes, there is a particular reason why GM shouldn't build cars in China! The bailout money was drawn from the United States Treasury not the Chi-Com treasury.

    GM Sucks!

Gee, GM builds cars in Europe, Australia, South America, Africa, etc.

Any particular reason they shouldn't build them in China too?? Or should they ignore one of the biggest markets in the world??

Add some graphic images and ignore the facts.

70% of GM cars are built outside of the US. Well, yeah, GM has plants around the world. Note he never mentions what % is built in China nor how much it's changed.

Pontiac was outselling Buick before they were shot down, but Buick, having a relationship with China sice 1924, was spared. I noticed that every new Buick was developed with China in mind. Buick is debuting a Riviera concept car in China! Despite what anybody says or thinks, my opinion is that the best days of General Motors serving the U.S. are behind them. I have been blessed to live through some of those good years.
