Here is the love duet PART 2 from the opera "Tosca" from the first act, between Floria Tosca and Mario Cavaradossi "Ah, quegli occhi ". And of course, singing these two great artists Zinka Milanov as Tosca and Jussi Bjorling as Cavaradossi. This duet, I heard some years ago, and after that it is one of my absolute favarit recordings. Although I love how Vihnevskaya-Bonisoli or Callas- Bergozni sing this duet, but I like listening to Milanov and Bjorling. So enjoy PART 2

  • What a combination! Bjorling was a most exceptional talent. I have run out of adjectives to describe the beauty of his singing. Perhaps my favourite soprano partner for Jussi B was Victoria de los angeles (Madama Butterfly was superb) but Milanov is fantastic in this recording. If there really is a heaven: this is how they sing there.

  • Zinka Milanov was undoubtedly world-class, yet I feel that she never quite wrought her magic on Bjorling in the way that Victoria de los Angeles, Renata Tebaldi and Birgit Nilsson were able to do. Consequently, I think that this was the least successful of Bjorling's summer recordings in Rome. While La Boheme, with de los Angeles, was recorded in New York with Sir Thomas Beecham, it can be included in the same category, because Bjorling was paired with a soprano who made him give of his best.

  • @Randidan I don't see it on their sites, but Sony or Naxos would be the labels to watch for for the best transfer ~ possibly someone else and if I see it I'll let you know!!

  • Great news! If you here for definite, let us all know and we'll publicise it as much as possible!

  • @99Gambo They may be getting ready to re-issue it in an even better transfer...

  • Magnificent. Bjoerling has long been my very favourite tenor. Magnificent.

  • Muito lindo isso, maravilhosa interpretação!!!!!

  • It doesn't get better than this.

  • I think 0:44 is the most amazing singing I have ever heard!
