:( I hear this is a HARD job to get into cus its not a job thats demanded by society, compared to say aerospace engineering. is this true cus i really love history and i have thought about becomeing an archeologist since like freshmen year PS im in highschool right now, and im kinda torn between two paths archeology or aerospace engineering O.e help!

Why must Indiana Jones always be brought up? You'd have to be a small child or a fool to think that things are like the movies. Would people also think that being a pirate automatically meant that you romped around the Caribbean with Edward Scissorhands and Legolas the elf?

This guy gives as good an explanation as I have heard about cultural resources management, the source of most (90%?) archaeology jobs in the USA. Most archaeology is funded as part of the process that grants environmental permits for construction, transportation, and utilities projects. Most people probably don't know this side, but are more familiar with museum- or academic-funded projects.
