The Great Race is a 1965 slapstick comedy movie directed by Blake Edwards, written by Blake Edwards and Arthur A. Ross, with music by Henry Mancini and cinematography by Russell Harlan. Starring Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis, Natalie Wood, Peter Falk, Keenan Wynn, and Vivian Vance.
Also known as "The Sweetheart Tree".

it was summer of '65, I was seventeen and looking for a job when someone mentioned that they are hiring at Radio City music hall and sure enough they hired me and I became an usher tuxedo and all, the movie that they showed for the next couple of months was the great race.! I must have seen it over 100 times and loved every minute of it, I think I have learned all the dialogue along the way.! Radio City memories and the great race will stay with me forever.

i will always remember and love this movie...the cast was wonderful...jack lemmon, tony curtis, natalie wood, vivian vance, dorothy provine..all gone but not forgotten. and the wonderful henry mancini as well....

I was rooting the whole time for Jack and Peter to win and of course lusting after Natalie as only a 10 year old could!!
