Foote wrote so many wonderful chamber works, be sure to seek them out, in my humble but accurate opinion he was America's first and best early composer, a total original!

Lovely to hear, but I find the excessive body movement of most of the performers quite distracting.

thanks ever so much! thanks to the internet and youtube, the treasures of our world can be shared. i first heard this in a live performance 30 or more years ago. what a joy to rediscover it here. we live in an age of miracles.

I had a recording of this piece but lost it in a house move in 1998. It's wonderful to hear it again 12 years on.
