I recommend the Savage Axis to anyone looking for an accurate budget rifle. This rifle will shoot 0.5 sub moa at 100 yards with factory made ammo and a standard budget scope.

  • Hey miller, I'm getting this in 25-06 for deer season this november. Do you think that me, being a black man, will be able to shoot accurately with it? Or will my darkness affect my accuracy?

  • @SupremeAmerican Depends...are you glossy black or more of a tactical duracoat flat black?

  • I'm looking to get one too but this will be my first rifle and im still learning about caliber sizes .308, 30-06, 7mm-08 etc. my question is that i am wondering which u guys would reccomend or what sized caliber barrel... I'm looking for something that goes really far but doesnt loose its power at long distances and which o those calibers are bigger?

  • @lostd00d A good all-around caliber is the .308 round.

  • is there a difference between the "edge" and "axis"? anyone? iam thinking of buying an edge in 308, but on yt i'm hearing them referred to as axis. pros/cons to either?

  • @jwgbmp40 It's the same rifle. Savage just renamed it.

  • @cmonsterz Shooting good has never been a secret, and unfortunately good marketing has made people think that it's absolutely necessary to have top dollar equipment in order to shoot well. Top dollar equipment is fun, and there is nothing wrong with owning it, but it's not a need for the regular shooters out there.

All the blue collar hunters with full meat freezers can testify to that fact.

  • I've got this rifle in 22-250, and he's right, it shoots these groups and better. I've got the Barska 6-24x60 IR Mil Dot reticle on mine, with bi-pod and sling. Quick walk thru of the scope I chose is on my channel. It's sweet, just as this rifle is!

  • is that the 3-9x40 Bushnell scope that comes with the rifle? if so what are the sizes for the scope of the scope covers? i'm thinking of getting them for my savage.

  • just got mine today. now need to find a scope. thinking of a nikon buckmaster 4.5-14x 40mm. or the 6-18x 40mm with mill dots and side focus. any suggestions. any other scopes that would work. main brands like bushnell leoupold. i'm looking for under 300 but can go a little above.

  • @SpadaccinoLuciano yes they do Sku:19224

  • Do they make the Axis in 25-06? I would like to use one for both Coyote and Deer hunting, and I've been told 30-06 is a little too big for Coyotes...

  • I'm stuck between a marlin and a savage 30 06 bout the same price any reccomendations

  • Can I expect a similar grouping with a Remington model 700 30-06? Given that I did everything the same as you cleaning and caring wise.

  • Nice shooting! I'll be picking one of these up very soon.

    Thanks for the review.

  • I got 1/2" group with mine in 308 caliber with Federal 150 gr SP ammo from Walmart. Love your videos sir.

  • i am planning on getting this rifle in a couple of weeks. i have been told .308 is the best caliber. i dont know? which is the best .308, .270, 30.06?????????? and do you know which would be cheaper to reload?
