Greed. I wonder why corporate executives don't understand that when the earth dies - so do they? Gov had to have given their blessing yet same folks will get re-elected. Our CONGRESS just did the same thing in the farm bill and NO non-profit blinked.

with all due love and respect, i take issue where you state that i know nothing. i understand your passion, but derogatory remarks, no matter how small or slight, do not serve your purpose.

Thank you Debbi, 'nuff said.

Or maybe I should, I mean August 11.

In other words, experienced professionals have analyzed and gathered many scientific facts disagreeing with the damage accusations. Actions by the protesters have showed that scientific fact from highly experienced professionals is not good enough for the protesters.

From my understanding, your view on this situation is that they have not have hard, scientific fact that it will not harm the watershed?........If so, I strongly disagree with that, because there have been attempts to show the public scientific facts apposing the protesters in public meetings, by experienced scientists. The end result, is these individuals being rejected to share their scientific findings.
This is an entire community and Township's concern that it be investigated thoroughly.
This motion and vote and the motion to follow certain recommendations will be posted shortly along with the SCRD's response.
Thanks

I must comment quickly, this is not only the concern of protesters or the citizens.
At 8:30 am Aug 3, 2007 the Town of Gibsons held a Special Emergency Meeting and voted unanimously
on the motion...
Under section 59 of the Health Act, Gibson's Town Council recommends the Sunshine Coast Regional District, SCRD, issue an immediate stop work order to the logging in the Chapman Creek Community Watershed
